Instagramification
I worked on this experimental documentary for BBC Taster, which explores the effect Instagram has had on social movements, celebrity culture and identity.
Rather than a traditional broadcast, the show is hosted on iPlayer where the audience is encouraged to interact with the narrative; after answering several questions the viewer is given a tailor-made experience, with different content depending on their answers.
For post, this meant splitting the doc into several different assets, with variations in content, music and colour grade, to give the viewer a more 'personalised' feeling. These assets would then be put through the StoryFormer platform, a tool for building interactive media. This required careful planning and attention to detail, to make sure the right video always played under the right circumstances.
